Learn to Row (Ages 12 and Up)

Our Learn to Row programs are ideal for beginners aged 12 and up. Sessions are offered year-round and integrated into regular practices, making it easy for new rowers to develop confidence and technique.

Youth Rowing (Under 19)

Beginning rowers train with our novice coaches before joining team practices. We offer four seasons—winter, spring, summer, and fall—so rowers can participate year-round or select the seasons that fit their schedule. Winter training includes indoor rowing machines, weights, and cross-training, while the rest of the year features on-water practices at Rockland Lake. Aspiring college rowers often train year-round by their sophomore year.

Competitive Team (Under 19)

For junior high and high school athletes who want to compete, our Competitive Team emphasizes conditioning, technical skill, and race readiness. Rowers are challenged to reach their full potential, with opportunities to qualify for Youth Nationals, pursue college recruitment and scholarships, and aim for the U.S. National Team. Our team consistently medals at national regattas, and graduates have gone on to row for top colleges including Cornell, UCLA, University of Wisconsin, Tufts, University of North Carolina, Columbia, Boston College, and USC.The team operates year-round, with practices held five to six times per week, each lasting about two hours. Registration is by season, with each season tailored to prepare for different racing distances.
