Rockland Rowing had a successful outing at the Philly Youth Regatta this past weekend. Wonderful weather made for a great regatta. Thanks to the Schuylkill Navy for another great event. Enya Gilrory and Yaara Ronen led the team - winning two medals. First they won their U17 doubles flight with the fastest time of any women’s U17 double, and then they teamed up with Emma Deljanin and Nour Hassan to win another medal in the U17 quad. All our racers did well - with many participating in the first race of their rowing careers. A big shout out to our friends from San Miguel Academy in Newburgh who joined us for the second time this summer. These young men were an inspiration - with their top boat taking second in their U17 race despite all their rowers being 14 years old! We are looking forward to continuing this summer’s successes this fall.
